First test of my ZX14R at my local strip was last week. This is, typically, a difficult bike to ride on SWB. Naturally, it wants to pop in first from pretty much any rpm but, it's also a power-wheelie monster in 2 and even 3 beyond that. Due to my general inexperience with the bike, best I could do was 10.6 at 142.
The bike is a 2012SE that has a Nels flash on it and Delkevic tri oval slips.
I tried low rpm launches (3500) but, it just seems to make getting out of 1st take longer, because I can't go wot in first anyway, I tied raising the launch rpm to 6000-ish and clutching it out. I also tried short-shifting 1-2.
I'll take any suggestions on how to put power down on this bike's stock setup, if you have any....
I'm not new to riding drag bikes, my other bike is a 2007 GSXR 1000 9 over with a Hookup and a 30-40 shot of the jug. It's a solid 9 sec bike on stock suspension and unlowered.
